Join us for our community plant sales, held on the first Saturday of each month, November through April, at the OVLC Nursery at Ojai Meadows Preserve. Shop a diverse selection of locally sourced and grown native plants, in 4-inch and 1-gallon sizes. Connect with our nursery staff for plant selection and care advice. We can guide you through what will work for your garden or project, come with questions and we are happy to help! Inventory changes throughout the season, check current availability before each sale.

Planning a planting or restoration project?
OVLC can grow any native plants requested, collect local seed, and provide a variety of sizing based on the needs of the project. This ranges from 2", tree tubes, 6" anderson pots, or gallons. Inquire for more information.
The OVLC Nursery offers discounted pricing for bulk orders, advance plant reservations, and eligible community partnerships.
Bulk Orders
Orders of 50 or more plants qualify for a 20% discount on available inventory. Ideal for larger landscaping projects, community plantings, or restoration projects.
Contract Orders
Orders placed at least 3–6 months in advance qualify for a 30% discount. Contract orders allow you to reserve plants ahead of your project timeline and help us plan production to meet your needs.
Partner Pricing
Eligible landscaping businesses and organizational partners receive a 15% discount, regardless of order size or order timing.
How to Get Started
Contact us in spring or summer to plan for fall through spring pickup. Advance notice is especially important for large orders and specific species. Orders are subject to availability.

About our stock
The Ojai Valley Nursery is unique in the valley in that we adhere to best practices for sustainable local seed collection. We harvest seed only from plants in our local Ventura River Watershed to preserve our precious local genetics. Using watershed-specific, hyper-local plants comes with a host of benefits, including better adaptation to climate fluctuations and are better able to support native wildlife which have evolved with Ojai’s native plants over millennia. The OVLC nursery supplies plants and seed to our ecological restoration projects, and our Rewild program for gardeners and landowners. Plants from Ojai, for Ojai!
The Ojai Valley Nursery was constructed at the Ojai Meadows Preserve in 2007 to support the restoration projects there. Over the last 15 years, it has continued to grow into a space for plant propagation and educational opportunities, such as our Nursery Internship Program and community outreach at plant sales and through workshops. Annually, the Nursery produces 10,000 native plants to primarily support OVLC restoration efforts on our preserve, and then to support local native landscaping projects and community plant sales.
