All About Ojai: Herpetofauna of the Ojai Valley
Uncover the rich biodiversity of the Ojai Valley on an educational field trip offered by the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. Led by Dr. Chris Evelyn, from UC Santa Barbara's Vertebrate Zoology Museum, delve into the world of reptiles and amphibians that call this valley home. From frogs to turtles, salamanders, lizards, and snakes, explore the natural wonders of the region through a blend of informative presentation and hands-on field exploration.
All About Ojai: Restoring Ojai's Night Sky
The mass adoption of LEDs has allowed our species to drive back the night, flooding previously dark spaces with light. Thacher seniors Ellie Heldridge and Zander Schatzberg will explore how this increased illuminance has impacted the health and safety of various species within the Ojai Valley and what steps can be taken to reduce light pollution.

Creating the basis of our ecosystems, soils are composed in mosaics of features whose characters have been expressed for millions of years.
