To Our Ojai Community:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we recover from the damage from the Thomas Fire on our trails. In the coming months trails will likely open and close depending on rain and changing trail conditions. Click here for current information and trail notifications »

Give to the OVLC

Every year OVLC plants hundreds of oak trees. The oak trees we plant today start off small and fragile, but with time they will become majestic towering oaks that define Ojai’s landscapes. Investing in oak restoration is a nature-based and no-regrets solution to combat climate change.

We hope you will support the OVLC in our effort to restore oak woodland, oak savanna, and other native habitat in the Ojai Valley by making a generous gift today.

Scroll down to learn more about why restoring oaks matters!

Oaks remove literally tons of carbon from the environment.

Their majestic canopies soften the impact of rain on the soil, decreasing runoff and erosion.

Their deep roots provide channels that help sink water to recharge our aquifers.

The spread of wildland fire slows dramatically in oak woodlands.

Hundreds of vertebrates and thousands of insects will live and thrive in the oak trees that we are planting and nurturing today.

Future generations of preserve visitors will benefit from the shade and enjoy the biodiversity and beauty that these oaks provide.
