NURSERY EXPANSION: FROM LITTLE SEEDS TO BIG DREAMS
We are thrilled to announce that our OVLC Nursery is undergoing a major expansion to better serve the Ojai Valley and the Ventura River Watershed. As climate change intensifies and native habitats continue to be fragmented or lost, the need for regionally adapted native plants has never been more urgent.
BOARD & STAFF CHANGES / FALL 2025
This season marks both gratitude and new beginnings at OVLC. We’re celebrating Sandy’s incredible legacy of leadership and love for Ojai’s landscapes as she steps off our Board, while also welcoming Kiandra and Emma—two passionate conservation rockstars bringing fresh energy, curiosity, and hands-on experience to our restoration work.
FROM THE DIRECTOR / SUMMER 2025
OVLC launched Rewild Ojai about two years ago and the community reception has been tremendous. The term “rewild” has come to mean many things. Typically, “rewilding” efforts are really targeted at the recovery of charismatic wildlife species like wolves, peregrine falcon or beavers. The direct and ancillary benefits from these efforts are well documented and successful rewilding projects can lead to landscape scale transformations.
