When: Friday, June 20th
Time: 3:00 pm — 6:00 pm

What We'll Be Doing:

Help OVLC prepare for our prescribed burn and ongoing research with UC Extension, the local Prescribed Burn Association, and the Ventura County Resource Conservation District. We will be extinguishing any hotspots in the recently burned area. We will use a drone to identify hot spots and then we will walk through the recently burned area with tools (such as mcloeds and shovels) and water strayers to completely extinguish the fire.

What You'll Need:

Please bring gloves and closed-toe shoes with good grip (preferably leather boots).

Additional recommended items include a small pack with lots of water and snacks, pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses).
