VOLUNTEER PROFILE — DON JACKSON
For those who have had the privilege of volunteering at OVLC, Don Jackson is a familiar and beloved figure. His involvement as a volunteer with the organization started circa 2008. Don most notably participated in nearly every outing during the construction of the Allan Jacobs Trail. At the age of 78, Don stands as a testament to the notion that age poses no obstacle when it comes to making a substantial impact through volunteering. We are proud to highlight Don’s contributions to the OVLC, in an interview he had with Preserve Manager, Linda Wilkin.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE: MARK SILBERNAGEL — OVLC STEWARDSHIP CREW LEAD
Mark Silbernagel started volunteering with OVLC in 2019. Over the past five years, he has logged more than 450 hours of volunteer work across an array of projects including Allan Jacobs Trail, engineering nursery upgrades, and most recently leading restoration projects! We are proud to highlight Mark’s contributions to the OVLC, in an interview he had with Preserve Manager, Linda Wilkin.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE: EMMA NATHAN - OVLC CREW LEAD
Emma Nathan started volunteering at the start of 2022. Over the past year and a half, she has logged more than 170 hours of volunteer work and recently became one of our first Volunteer Crew Leads. We are proud to highlight Emma’s contributions to the OVLC, in an interview she had with Land Steward, Linda Wilkin.
