This is an all-ages volunteer opportunity to help restore habitat at the Ojai Meadows Preserve. 

Volunteers will assist in the removal of invasive species (weeds!) - a critical task in giving our native plants a chance to thrive. 

This is a great opportunity to learn about restoration techniques and identifying native / invasive species.

When: Wednesday, January 3rd
Time: 8:00 am — 12:00 pm

What We'll Be Doing:

We'll be removing invasive species at the Ojai Meadows Preserve.

Work will involve hand-pulling weeds; the use of hand tools like specialized gardening knives (Hori Horis!) and rakes; and bagging weeds for removal from the site. 

What You'll Need: 
Please bring gloves and closed-toe shoes with good grip (preferably boots).

Additional recommended items include a small pack with water and snacks, pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and light rain jacket (just in case).
