Planting Party

Your invited to a Planting Party this Saturday, March 16th at Steelhead Preserve!

We will be planting over 100 native plants grown in our very own nursery as well as removing invasive plant species. We are limiting the number of volunteers for this event to 20, so sign up soon!

Project Details:
When: Saturday, March 16th
Time: 10:00 am — 12:00 pm

What We'll Be Doing:

We'll be planting native plants grown in our nursery and removing invasive species at Steelhead Preserve.

Work will involve hand-pulling weeds; digging holes; planting native plants; cutting down non-native shrubs and tree; and the use of hand tools like hula hoes, hori-horis, and rakes.

What You'll Need:

Please bring gloves and closed-toe shoes with good grip (preferably boots).

Additional recommended items include a small pack with water and snacks, pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.).
