Steelhead Preserve Volunteer Project

After a few of weeks working on the invasive plants at the Ojai Meadow Preserve, we are doing something new!

Project Details:
When: Thursday, March 7th
Time: 3:10 pm - 5:30 pm

What We'll Be Doing:

We'll be planting mule fat stakes and removing invasive species at the Steelhead Preserve.

Work will involve hand-pulling weeds; the use of hand tools like hula hoes, specialized gardening knives (Hori Horis!) and rakes; and bagging weeds for removal from the site.

What You'll Need:

Please bring gloves and closed-toe shoes with good grip (preferably boots).

Additional recommended items include a small pack with water and snacks, pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, etc).
