Trail Maintenance Volunteer Project

This Saturday we'll be tackling a number of trail maintenance projects at the entrance to Wills Canyon, including improvements to the Wills Canyon horse route.

Equestrians are encouraged to volunteer and help us make the trail more passable and enjoyable to ride!

As an added bonus, we'll be carpooling / caravanning into the preserve and parking close to the work site.

What We'll Be Doing:

We'll be brushing the trail, rehabilitating the tread, maintaining water bars, and doing some rock work. All of these improvements will create a better approach for equestrians, hikers, and bikers alike.

Work will include the use of hand tools like shovels, mcleods, picks, loppers, and hand saws.

What You'll Need:

Please bring gloves and closed-toe shoes (preferably boots). Additional recommended items include a small pack with water and snacks, bandana, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunblock, etc.), pants, and a long-sleeve shirt.
