Join Rewild Ojai and certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide, Elena Rios, for a Nature Immersion experience at the Ventura River Preserve on Saturday, March 28 from 9am to 12pm.
During your time with Elena, you will join with like-minded people for a guided integrative mindfulness practice that can help you to let all of the miscellaneous fall away, slow down and relax, and deepen your connection to nature. It is more about being “here” in the present moment, then it is about being “there.” The importance of our relationship to land and place is rooted in ancestral Indigenous Knowledge all over the world. It can take shape in many ways. Our wise ones new that the state of wellness of our communities, and of our own mind, body, and spirit, was directly connected to the wellness of our relationship with the Earth, La Madre Tierra. This is a slow, relaxing, nature-based integrative mindfulness practice. Experience the health benefits of Forest Bathing or Shinrin Yoku such as lowered blood pressure, lowered cortisol concentrations, enhanced immunity, less stress, more focus, enhanced creativity, and so much more. A kind of nervous system “reset.” The event ends with a sharing of tea made from native plants and some healthy snacks.
