What We'll Be Doing:

Help OVLC prepare for our prescribed burn and ongoing research with UC Extension, the local Prescribed Burn Association, and the Ventura County Resource Conservation District. Work will including using tools, like mcleods, to scrape lines between sections and adding stakes to mark sections. This is a great opportunity to learn more about prescribed fire and ecological restoration. We will teach you everything you need to know on the day of the project!

What You'll Need:

Please bring gloves and closed-toe shoes with good grip (preferably leather boots).

Additional recommended items include a small pack with lots of water and snacks, pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses).
