Ilvento Preserve Stewardship Hike and Lunch with Brendan Taylor, OVLC Director of Field Programs

  • OVLC Ilvento Preserve Ojai, CA, 93023 United States (map)

Join OVLC Director of Field Programs Brendan Taylor for a guided hike and lunch on OVLC’s Ilvento Preserve.

This moderate to strenuous 2.5-mile hike will begin at the Horn Canyon Trailhead and follow the creek to reach the preserve. As you enjoy the trails and biological diversity of the Ilvento Preserve, Brendan will discuss the history of the property (OVLC’s first land acquisition), the lasting impacts of the Thomas Fire on the valley’s open spaces, and how community partnerships play a vital role in stewarding our local trails. This is a great opportunity to explore the preserve while gaining insight into the work that keeps our trails open and enjoyable for all.

Midway through the hike, you will be treated to a farm-to-table lunch catered by OVLC. Dietary requirements can be accommodated upon request. After lunch, the hike will continue back to the trailhead.
