To Our Ojai Community:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we recover from the damage from the Thomas Fire on our trails. In the coming months trails will likely open and close depending on rain and changing trail conditions. Click here for current information and trail notifications »

Preserve Your Land

The OVLC Land Committee and staff work tirelessly to identify lands which meet our conservation criteria and will be of benefit to the Ojai community. If you have land that you would like to see preserved for the benefit of Ojai’s future, please call the Executive Director.  Or you can first view OVLC’s Guide to Land Protection brochure and then call us for a consultation.  You may also read our Land Protection Options & Examples – A Landowner’s Guide for the most detailed information.

There are several options for land protection from conservation easements to fee title sales, to donations.  We would be happy to help you learn more about different options so that you can make an informed decision about what would work best for you.

We are also grateful to accept property which may not meet our conservation criteria, but which may have potential for other uses, or to be sold to help increase our capacity to purchase land in the future. This is an ideal way to include OVLC in your estate plans.

Please contact the Executive Director (executivedirector@ovlc.org or (805) 649-6852 x 1) if you have a property that you would like to have considered for preservation in perpetuity.
