To Our Ojai Community:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we recover from the damage from the Thomas Fire on our trails. In the coming months trails will likely open and close depending on rain and changing trail conditions. Click here for current information and trail notifications »

Volunteer Sign-up

1) Do not come if you are showing symptoms
2) Do not carpool with anyone you do not live with or are already around regularly
3) Bring your own work gloves; OVLC will not loan out work gloves

1) Have a no-contact temperature check performed by OVLC staff – anyone showing an elevated temperature will be asked to return home
2) You must have a face covering on the project at all times
3) Practice social distancing (OVLC staff will spread volunteers out as much as is reasonably possible)
4) Restrict tool sharing as much as possible
5) Immediately leave the project if you show any signs or symptoms

In addition to these requirements of our volunteers, OVLC will do the following:
1) Not allow any group size larger than 10 people, staff and volunteers included
2) Keep contact information for all participants on every trip for contact tracing purposes
3) Provide hand sanitizer at all times on the project
4) Sanitize all tools and gear at the end of each project and set those tools aside and not permit their use for a minimum of one week

With these protocols, it is our intention to foster a safe working environment, but consider that the best way to avoid the virus is to not be around other people. Please only join us if you are completely comfortable and fully willing to accept these new protocols.
