Thank you for your patience and understanding as we recover from the damage from the Thomas Fire on our trails. In the coming months trails will likely open and close depending on rain and changing trail conditions. Click here for current information and trail notifications »
The Preserve is amazing, and a great place to spend time outdoors with friends and family!
I am a relative newcomer, and although I have one of the nice color brochure trail maps, I am wondering if there is a simplified, (printable), map available in basic black and white showing all the trails and junctions?
The color map is great, but a simplified B & W map would be easier to decipher at a quick glance while moving along on horseback, (especially for those of us who have to don reading glasses).
If a B & W map isn’t available, I will take a shot at drawing one up, myself, and will post it online for others who might also have poor eyesight!
Have you tried printing the existing map in black and white? We use that on the preserve too. Otherwise, if you want to draw a more simple one go for it and please let us know about it…
We are happy that you are enjoying the Ventura River Preserve.
I have two maps available for FREE of the Ventura River Preserve. Just send me your email and put Preserve in subject line. They are from my book, in CD format, “Mileage Hiking Maps” that has 158 detailed day hikes and ovr 1,000 miles of local trails. oxnardhiker.yolasite.com

Thanks for managing this amazing local resource.
