California Naturalist Certification

California Naturalist Certification

The course will begin with orientation on Friday March 4th, 2016, followed by a field trip on Saturday March 5th. It will continue on subsequent Fridays and Saturdays.

The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is excited to announce that in partnership with University of California Cooperative Extension we will be offering the California Naturalist Certification Training this Spring.

The California Naturalist training is an innovative program developed by the University of California Cooperative Extension to foster a committed corps of volunteer naturalists and citizen scientists trained and ready to take an active role in local natural resource conservation, education, and restoration. The California Naturalist program provides an overview of California’s diverse ecology, as well as a more in-depth study of the ecology of the Ventura River Watershed.
