By on February 26, 2020 in Events, News

Stewardship Director Hike & Picnic
CANCELLED

Take advantage of this chance to meet Brendan Taylor, our Stewardship Director. All you need to bring is your curiosity and water. Wear hiking shoes and sun protection. We will provide a picnic lunch for you to enjoy. We will be hiking on the Valley View Preserve for a moderately hard 3-mile hike. Details will be sent to you upon registration.

Other than being the Stewardship Director for the OVLC, Brendan has worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club, Pacific Crest Trail Association, and Student Conservation Association. He has a masters degree in Parks and Recreation Resource management and holds certifications as a “Leave No Trace” Master Educator and a Wilderness First Responder.

Brendan completed an 8-month bicycle tour that took him through Asia, Australia, and Africa and traveled to Argentina to teach trail-building techniques. Since living in Ojai, he taught himself to surf and is a regular in the waves.
