Seek the Creek
Save the date for our Community Workshops—February 23 & 25, 2023
The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is conducting a community visioning process for the future removal and restoration of the Matilija Dam. This is an exciting project that will return the critical waterway of Matilija Creek to its original flow, providing much needed public open space to our region.
As part of this process, we want to know what would make your experience at parks, trails, and outdoor recreation around Ojai and Ventura better and more accessible.
Tell us how you Seek the Creek!
Join us for a community meeting on February 23 or 25, where we’ll discuss potential use of the land around the Matilija Dam, as well as opportunities to provide more immediate improved access to existing open space in our region.
We want your input on a range of possibilities, including hiking, wildlife habitat restoration, the protection of cultural and historical resources, and more.
These community meetings are only the beginning, and we encourage all community members to attend. Check back soon for the definitive times and locations of the community meetings being held on February 23 and February 25, 2023.
