Exhibit Runs July 8 – September 24, 2017

The Ojai Valley Museum and the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy are proud to present “Protecting the Ojai: Ojai Valley Land Conservancy,” an exhibit showcasing the 30th anniversary of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy and the community that made local land conservation a priority. The exhibit follows the land conservancy from its grassroots founding in 1987 through its development to become one of Ojai’s most well-known non-profit organizations. At the same time, it recounts how a community of caring people recognized the importance of our open spaces as essential elements of our local identity and values. Come learn how 2,300 acres of open space and 27 miles of public trails have been set aside for public benefits.

The OVLC staff, Board, and volunteers have been taking a trip down memory lane as we trace the history of the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. The show will be enhanced by a series of “Town Talks” at the museum sharing more information about the natural areas that surround us. See the OVLC events calendar for event times.
