Cluff Vista Park
The Conservancy in partnership with the City of Ojai and many community residents and businesses helped to turn the once blighted eyesore at the gateway into Ojai into a showcase for our Valley’s native landscapes and plants.
The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy with the help of a very generous gift from the Cluff family and contributions of 230 other donors was able to raise the funds needed to create the park. The former abandoned gas station site now affords beautiful views of the downtown area and the surrounding mountains that surround the Ojai Valley. “Pink Moment” sunsets are especially spectacular from the resting benches in the main plaza.
After months of design and construction work, including many donations of in kind services from community members, the park was opened to the public in October 2002. The park showcases use of drought tolerant and native plants, providing a self guided interpretive tour.
