Restoration Field Manager

We are seeking a Restoration Field Manager to lead a restoration field crew and manage restoration
field operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in ecological restoration and experience
implementing restoration projects and supervising teams in the field. The Restoration Field Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily restoration activities of OVLC’s field crew, conducting site
monitoring, ensuring the completion of projects on schedule, and providing guidance to team members.
The role will require administrative duties including equipment maintenance, inventory management,
expense tracking, and subcontractor coordination. This position will involve work related to OVLC’s
Native Plant Nursery, stewardship program, volunteer activities, and other events/outreach as needed.
The Restoration Field Manager is a dynamic and collaborative position that involves both highly physical, field-based work – often in a remote environment – and administrative work in the office.

Restoration Field Crew

We are seeking multiple Restoration Field Crew to join our team!

This is a highly physical, field-based position and may often work in a remote environment. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Planting native seed, cuttings, and nursery stock
• Performing weed management practices – weed whipping, hand pulling, and mulching
• Assisting in nursery management – seed collection and irrigation
• Using, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems, hand tools, power tools, mowers, and chainsaws
(certification dependent) and other equipment
• Occasional public interaction in the field
• Leading students, groups and individuals at volunteer events
• Supporting land stewardship duties
• Occasionally contributing to OVLC social media
• Other duties as assigned (e.g. helping with OVLC events)
