BIRDWALK & NATURE HIKE 8:30 AM, January 11
Bird walk and nature hike
Saturday January 11, 2014 8:30 AM
There is no better way to start 2014 than to get out and reconnect with nature.
The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is hosting a bird walk and nature hike at the Ventura River Preserve on Saturday January 11h at 8:30 AM. The walk will be led by OVLC docents John Pavelko and Art Vander. You will be looking for both resident and migrating birds and learning about the plants and other wildlife that make the Ojai Valley so special.
Each year the Land Conservancy hosts thousands of nature enthusiasts including hikers, equestrians, school children and community groups on its Preserves. Whether a visitor, newcomer or longtime resident this is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the day with other nature lovers.
Meet at 8:30 AM at the Riverview Trailhead on Rice Road just south of El Roblar. OVLC will have binoculars available but bring your own if you have them. This is a two hour easy walk on uneven ground so wear sturdy shoes and bring water, snacks, and sun protection. Reservations are not required but are appreciated.
