H20: Artist’s Reception & Silent Auction

By on January 30, 2023 in Events, Featured, News

You’re invited! Please bring your friends, family and colleagues to Pastel Society of the Gold Coast‘s H20 art show to help raise funds for OVLC.

Location: Ojai Art Center, 113 So. Montgomery Street, Ojai, CA 93023

Show Dates: March 4-March 29, 2023

Meet the Artists Reception: Saturday, March 4: 5-8 pm

About the Show

PSGC artists have been preparing for several months (since last June) for the H2O show. It is a
two part event, so to speak. A show within a show. The entire art center, sans theater, will
house art of various mediums brought together by the consistent theme of water. It’s beauty,
power, scarcity and hope for more.

When Pastel Society of the Gold Coast began their preparations for this show, our so Cal earth was dry, now it’s moist. But the drought is far from over. So that’s the first part. We invite you to the opening reception to enjoy the effort of 23 artists over refreshments.

Silent Auction

A silent auction of 32 paintings will fill the Beato Showcase. Saturday night, March 4 at 5 pm the silent auction of 32 paintings that fill the case will begin. Winning bidders will bring home paintings of the wildlife and land that donations ultimately help to protect; scenes of beauty from within OVLC.

Come out and place a bid! Just for starters, the opening bids are $300. The artist will receive
$100 and the Ojai Art Center will receive $100. Every cent above that will go to Ojai Valley Land
Conservancy.

10 paintings can be previewed here. See all 32 pieces March 4 at the Ojai Art Center.

OVLC,  Ojai Art Center, and Pastel Society of the Gold Coast artists will all benefit from the art sales of this exhibition.

The Pastel Society of the Gold Coast is a non-profit organization for the specific purpose of providing public exhibitions for its members, to educate the community through collaboration with environmental and other non-profit organizations, and to promote the arts in general.
