The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is hosting a wildflower walk at the Ojai Meadows Preserve on Saturday, March 4 at 12 pm. The walk will be led by OVLC docent and California Naturalist Stuart Niebel. We are starting at noon to give the late bloomers a chance to open up in the warmth of the sun. You don’t want to miss this chance to see the colorful spring show just beginning at the Meadow. Years of conservation and restoration efforts are paying off to lend even more beauty to Ojai. Meet at the Kiosk, wear sturdy shoes and bring sun protection. Reservations are requested. Contact Marti Reid at (805) 649-6852 ext. 2 or marti@ovlc.org

Stuart Niebel is a retired Ventura City firefighter who began volunteering with OVLC in 2011. He has since become a docent, completed the California Naturalist training, and written new preserve-specific docent manuals for the OVLC. He is particularly interested in the timing of wildflower blooms at the Ojai Meadows Preserve.
