Earth Day at Oak Grove School
Earth Day 2015
It’s Our Turn to Lead
Ojai’s Official Earth Day Event
Saturday, April 18, 2015
11:00AM – 4:00PM
Oak Grove School
220 West Lomita • Ojai, California
In celebration of sustainable living, global awareness, and the joy of nature, four Ojai-based organizations team up to host this once-a-year free community event – Food for Thought, Oak Grove School, Ojai Valley Green Coalition, and the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy. The day will include live entertainment, world food, environmental presentations and exhibits, art, field day, yoga, community involvement, and great ideas for our world. Everything takes place under the trees on Oak Grove School’s 150-acre campus, 220 W. Lomita Avenue, Ojai. This year, high school students from around the valley will be exhibiting their environmental displays, and elementary students will be creating 9 x 9″ cloth squares with illustrated and written wishes for our world, which will then be displayed for all to see. Visitors will also have ample opportunities to find ways to live greener and appreciate the natural wonders we all share.
Bring your refillable water bottles and please leave your dogs at home for this event. Thanks!
Scheduled to perform: Dave Palmer and Friends, Kalinka, and much more! Around the playing field: Climbing wall, yoga, physics, Peace Sticks, Art Exhibits with student work from around the Valley, wish flags, field games, and more! Around the Gazebo: Environmental displays, world food, and sustainable vehicle displays.
