Ventura River Preserve – Oso Trailhead
The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is hosting a bird walk at the Ventura River Preserve on Saturday January 28th at 8 am. The walk will be led by OVLC docent and Audubon member John Pavelko. You will be looking for both resident and migrating birds and learning about the plants and other wildlife that make the Ventura River Preserve and the Ojai Valley so special.
Meet at 8 am at the Oso Trailhead on Meyer Road. OVLC will have binoculars available but bring your own if you have them. This is a two hour easy to moderate walk on uneven ground so wear sturdy shoes and bring water, snacks, and sun protection. Reservations are not required but are appreciated. For more information or to sign up contact Marti Reid at (805) 649-6852 ext.2 or marti@ovlc.org
Each year the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy hosts thousands of nature enthusiasts including hikers, equestrians, school children and community groups on its Preserves. Whether a visitor, newcomer or longtime resident, this is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the day with other nature lovers.
