We have a place in Ojai. While it is great this land was preserved, it is only semi preserved. The damage that the horses do to the trails and habitat is awful. Much of the wildlife we would hear nightly is gone.
The trails are 4 times as wide as they were and nothing but dust. Horses should have not been allowed in. It is definetly not wildlife friendly. It has been turned into an equestrian center and the horse riders seem to think they own the place. They can be rude and do not think people walking have the right of way.

Paul What are you talking about ? I have not seen rude people , rude people on horses or rude people on bikes. In fact everyone that I have encountered on the trail have been very friendly. It is all a mind set as to how we see the world around us. The recent rain should have helped with the dust . I still hear the birds singing and the rustle of the leaves. Slow down and enjoy what we have it belongs to all us hear on the planet.
