Support the Valley View Preserve!

The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy seeks to raise $650,000 by May 2013 to permanently protect as publicly accessible open space the largest, most visible private parcel remaining in Ojai. The proposed “Valley View Preserve” measures almost 1 mile east to west, and is roughly ½ mile deep. It is a significant part of the northern backdrop of the City of Ojai and includes most of the golden colored ridge lying uphill of Shelf Road, the most used recreational trail in the Ojai Valley. It is literally and figuratively our “backyard.”

Hi. My wife and I will donate for this project. I also play in a local band called Fish Fry and I know many local professional musicians who would donate theirs talent to this cause. Thanks so much. John Welborn. 646-4039 home.

    Hi John,
We are very excited about this great opportunity to save Ojai’s backyard. Thank you for your offer to donate your time and talent. Right now we don’t have any events planned and our small staff is stretched pretty thin right now. Let me know what you had in mind.
